Specimen Requirements
Collect 1.0 mL of EDTA plasma (lavender top tube). Notify Chemistry Department before collecting specimen. Collect on ice, separate in refrigerated centrifuge within 30 minutes. Patient should avoid fist clenching.
Stability/Transport
Transport on ice to the lab ASAP.
Stable for 2 hours on ice/refrigerated.
