Specimen Requirements

Container/Tube Type: 

24 hour urine collection jug

Collection Information: 

Collect 24-hour urine. Sample should be refrigerated during collection.

Transport Information: 

Transfer 4.0 mL aliquots from a well-mixed 24-hour urine collection into two (2) plastic transport tubes.  Adequate refrigeration is the most important aspect of specimen preservation.

Minimum Sample Volume: 

3.0 mL of urine per vial, two (2) aliquots total.
