SST (Serum Separator)

Plain red serum tube

Collection Information: 

Collect blood in a SST (Serum Separator) or plain red serum tube.

Transport Information: 

Separate serum from cells ASAP or within 2 hours of collection. Transfer 1.0 mL serum to a plastic transport vial and send refrigerated.

Minimum Sample Volume: 

0.5 mL of serum
