Order LAB2256, Cytology Order Request. Indicate specimen type, collection time, and ordering practioner. Label specimen container with patient's name and birthdate.
Specimen Requirements
Collect minimum of 20 ml of fluid (well-mixed before removing aliquot)
Add Mucolexx fixative and refrigerate. (If specimen exceeds 200 ml. Just refrigerate.)
NOTE: IF OTHER LAB TESTS ARE ALSO ORDERED, BE SURE TO SUBMIT A SEPARATE SPECIMEN WITH NO MUCOLEXX.
