Container/Tube Type: 

Sterile Container
Sterile Swab w/Transport Medium (Amies, Stuart's)

Collection Information: 

Tissue, sputum, skin scrapings, hair, nail clippings. Swabs are not encouraged except for specimens from the ear canal, nasopharynx, vagina and cervix, oral cavity

Transport Information: 

Aseptic technique must be used in obtaining, and transport of specimen. Deliver to the laboratory ASAP
