Specimen Requirements

Preferred Collection Container: 

Lavender (EDTA)

Also Acceptable Collection Container: 

Pink (K2EDTA)
Light Blue (Citrate)

Collection Information: 

Collect blood in a lavender (EDTA) tube. Also acceptable are a pink (K2EDTA) or  blue (sodium citrate).

Transport Information: 

Do NOT centifuge or aliquot. Send 5.0 mL whole blood in original tube, refrigerated.

Minimum Sample Volume: 

1.0 mL of whole blood
