Preferred Collection Container:
Red (No Additive)
Collection Information:
Collect blood in a Red (No Additive) tube.
Transport Information:
Centrifuge and aliquot 0.5 mL of serum into a plastic transport vial. Send frozen.
Minimum Sample Volume:
0.2 mL of serum

Stability Comments:
GRASSE is not a critical frozen test but does have a limited refrigerated stability of 48 hours with the allowance of up to 4 thaw cycles. As long as the specimens were thawed less than 48 hours, we can still freeze and send.
