Specimen Requirements
1. Various types of clinical specimens are acceptable.
2. Submit to laboratory in an anaerobic transport system.
Collection Instructions: For best results, specimen should be sent in an anaerobic
CultureSwab, E-swab, or capped syringe.
When an anaerobic culture is order there must also be the appropriate aerobic culture ordered.
