Specimen Requirements

Avaialbe for any specimen source, most likely male genital swab and eye swab specimens. 

Male Genital

1. Obtain an ESwab from the microbiology lab.
2. Using the swab collect epithelial cells from infected site and return swab to ESwab holder.
3. Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
Note: Indicate specimen source on specimen container and in computer.

Ocular Specimens

1. Obtain an ESwab from the microbiology laboratory.
2. If pus or discharge is present, remove before collecting.

3. Collect specimen using swab provided in the kit.

4. Maintain sterility and forward promptly.
