Preferred Collection Container: 

Lavender (EDTA)

Also Acceptable Collection Container: 

Pink (K2EDTA Blood Bank)

Collection Information: 

Collect blood in a Lavender (EDTA).

Transport Information: 

Transport blood in original tube. Do NOT centrifuge. Send refrigerated.

Minimum Sample Volume: 

Adult: 1.0 mL of EDTA whole blood
Pediatric: 0.5 mL of EDTA whole blood, full lavender EDTA microtainer is acceptable

Remarks: 

Trough levels should be drawn 12 hours post dose.
